# What is Cohesive?

> Work with the agent on shared Canvases, using your files, connected apps, and reusable Skills.

Cohesive is a workspace where you and the agent work with the same files, notes, and documents on a shared Canvas.

Bring in source material, select what matters, and ask for an output. The agent can research, read files, create documents and visuals, update connected tools, and organize the results on the Canvas. You can return to the work, revise it, and share it with your team.

## Start with your work

    Create a Canvas and upload a document, spreadsheet, or image. Use Connectors to add relevant email, calendar events, or records from your other apps.

  <Step title="Select and ask">
    Select the source cards, press `C` for Quick Chat, and say what you need: a summary, a comparison, a draft, or an editable report.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review and continue">
    Check the result against its sources. Ask for changes, organize related cards into sections, and share the work when it's ready.
