# GitHub

> Read repositories and pull requests, and create or update issues and project items.

Connect GitHub to bring repository context into a Canvas and make supported issue and project updates.

## What the agent can do

**Read**

* Browse repositories, read README files, and inspect repository contents.
* Search issues and pull requests.
* Read Projects, project items, fields, and iterations.

**Act**

* Create and update issues.
* Add issue comments.
* Add or remove project items and update supported project fields.
* Create draft issues in Projects.

## Browse and drop

Browse repositories, Projects, issues, and pull requests in the Connectors rail, then drop the relevant items onto a Canvas.

## Connect

    Open **Settings → Connectors** and choose **GitHub** from the available catalog.

  <Step title="Authorize">
    Click **Connect**. Sign in to GitHub and authorize access to the repositories and organization resources you need.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Check the connection">
    Confirm that it appears under **Connected**, then ask the agent to retrieve one item you can verify.
  </Step>
