# Search

> Find work by name, then ask the agent to search inside your source material.

Press `Cmd+K` on macOS or `Ctrl+K` on Windows to open search.

Search helps you find Workspaces, Canvases, chats, files, Skills, and Connectors you can access. Pick a result to open it.

## Find by name or content

| You need | Use |
| - | - |
| A Canvas, file, or chat whose name you remember | Global search |
| An item in the current rail view | The rail's search or filter field |
| A passage or fact inside source files | Ask the agent to search the contents |
| An email, event, or CRM record | The Connector browser or a request to the agent |

For example: *"Find the cancellation terms in the files on this Canvas and cite the matching passages."*

Uploaded files may need processing before content search can find them. See [Files on the Canvas](/product/canvas/files).

## A result is missing

Check that you're in the right organization and still have access to the item. If it was archived, look in [Archived](/product/workspace/archive). A file's text won't necessarily appear as a match when you're searching by its name.
