Adding the connector takes about a minute. You sign in to Cohesive in a browser tab, Claude stores the result, and the tools appear.

Before you start

You need a Cohesive account and a client that speaks Streamable HTTP. Claude.ai and Claude Desktop both do, and both handle the sign-in for you.

Connect

Open connector settings

In Claude, go to Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.

Enter the server URL

Paste the endpoint and confirm.

Sign in to Cohesive

Claude opens a Cohesive sign-in page. Approve the connection, and the tab hands you back to Claude.

Check what you got

Ask Claude to call cohesive_info. It reports the organization and user you’re acting as, which toolsets are mounted, and how many tools are on the wire.

Make a first call

Ask for something that reads before it writes:
Claude calls cohesive_workspace_list, then cohesive_canvas_list with a limit. Both are read-only, so nothing changes in your Workspace. When you’re ready to write, try a note:
That’s cohesive_canvas_create followed by cohesive_canvas_node_add_note.
The agent doesn’t have to guess a tool’s arguments. cohesive_help returns the full reference for any tool path — pass canvas node add-note to see every flag, rule, and example behind cohesive_canvas_node_add_note.
