Use notes, labels, shapes, lines, and drawings to add context and explain relationships on a Canvas.

Notes

Press N to add a note. Use notes for short source context, questions, and summaries you want to keep visible. Edit the text and use the note’s controls to format it. For longer writing with file history and publishing, create a document.

Text labels

Press T to place a label. Click for text that fits its content, or drag to set a width for wrapping. Use the label controls to change its type size, color, and alignment. Labels suit area titles and annotations. Empty labels are removed when you leave them.

Shapes

Press P to choose a shape. Use the shape’s controls for fill, border, and text styling, and type inside it to label a step or concept. Resize freely or hold Shift to keep proportions. The agent can create and revise shape text as part of Canvas edits.

Lines and connections

Use a free line or arrow for an annotation. Connect two cards when their relationship should remain attached as the cards move. Select a line to change its style or routing. Lines can use straight, curved, or right-angle paths, and can carry text labels. Drag the visible route controls to adjust the path. An endpoint attached to an explicit card handle stays on that side. Use Route automatically when you want to reset an edited route.

Freehand drawing

Choose the pen tool from the Canvas toolbar to sketch or mark an area. Use the stroke eraser to remove a whole stroke. Drawings are shared Canvas content, and the agent can inspect them as context.

Widgets

Press W to browse the widgets gallery. Widgets provide Canvas annotations and interactive extras. Choose the item that suits the work, then place and resize it. For a custom visual built from your material, ask the agent for an HTML block.

Organize and remove

Group related objects in sections. Deleting a note, label, shape, line, drawing, or widget removes the Canvas object; these don’t go to the Archive. Undo while the Canvas history is available.
