Everyone with access to a shared Canvas sees the same content and changes as they happen.

Presence and edits

Live cursors and presence show teammates working on the Canvas. People with edit access can arrange cards, revise content, and direct the agent. Generated artifacts and Canvas edits appear on the shared surface. Viewers can read the work and, when enabled, participate in comments.

Private chats, shared comments

Each person uses their own sessions and Quick Chat conversations. Other collaborators don’t see those threads. Use a Canvas comment when the discussion belongs with the shared work. A comment can point to a card or a location, and teammates can reply and resolve the thread.

Organize shared work

Use sections for workstreams and labels for instructions or status. Name a section after its purpose, such as “Sources,” “Drafts,” or “Decisions.” Sections help people find their area of work. Everyone with Canvas access can still see their contents. A public Canvas doesn’t join the live collaboration session. Update its snapshot when you’re ready to share new content. See Publish a Canvas.
